Guest Blog: International Women's Day

Someone hit me up last week and told me the 8th was International Women's Day. I thought to myself, what the fuck is that so I googled and got some political and economical woman's power bullshit. Fuck Margaret Thatcher, I ain't down with that bullshit. But I wanted to do something special today, don't get me wrong women are best for cooking hot meals and giving head, if your chick does neither then leave her. Yet I've witnessed a lot of shit over the last few months when it comes to women. Everybody got a story to tell but I'm still amazed to this day at how many chicks I know that persevered over some bullshit. So I got 2 very important people to contribute to this entry, I'll colour code it. It's real life shit, I won't get into it but this ain't someone speaking from a script, these are people that lived through what they're about to speak on. Y'all can connect the dots. Before I go just a quick note, women always keep your head up high, regardless of what you doing whether you are a CEO or stripper, do whatever makes you happy. Give no one control and power over your life and strive to be and do what's best for you because in this cold world, we're programmed to settle for less and trust me when I say you can rise above. I ain't just talking, I mean that, Salute to all the good women in the world who don't give a fuck what people think, do what they want, and are happy with themselves. This shit I'm about to post means more to me than any blog combined, peace: 

The right climate is there for women to be able to really develop their individuality in whatever way you chose to, whether its with education or with careers or with something as simple as fashion. Generally speaking, why conform by the social norm? It’s up to every individual to step forward themselves and to develop their own meaningful individuality. You need to be confident enough to assert your choice in any scenario, otherwise what’s the point in taking a stance in the first place? It’s never too late to start over, and its never too late to change any aspect in your life that you don’t like. You don’t need to settle for anything or for anyone, and you don’t need to devalue yourself for the benefit of others. If you have the power within you to change something, then why bother settling for unhappiness.

To every woman living in fear: It’s too easy for abusive relationships to destroy your self-worth, and its too easy for it to lead you into a life of constant anxiety and fear; only making you feel more helpless and alone everyday. But you shouldn’t have to go through any of that pain, regardless of what you’ve been told  and made to believe, no one should have to endure that kind of isolated continuous pain. No one should have to be alienated from everything they care about and everything they love-

It comes down to two choices: You can choose to stay dead inside, turning your back on yourself by pretending nothing’s happened. You can choose not to come to terms with your pain and risking your happiness and safety by allowing the abuse to continue; which happens naturally when you’ve been talked into believing not to care about yourself or your happiness. Or you can make a different choice, choosing your health and safety, standing up and fighting for your own life, breaking free from everything you’ve been made to believe and accept. 

Although it seems like the hardest decision you have to make, or it seems like there’s no room or opportunity to make any decisions for yourself to start with, you have such an immense  strength within you to start making those decision and to start choosing what’s best for YOU. Yes it’s gonna  seem like the most unrealistic goal but you truly and honestly only need one person in your life who cares. Just one person who can help lift you onto your feet, and one person who can make all the numbness, fear and guilt go away. You shouldn’t have to feel progressively worse about yourself, you shouldn’t have to feel trapped and powerless and helpless each and every day, and you shouldn’t have your self esteem washed away after each argument or incident. When all the control is taken away from you, when it takes every muscle in your body to try to protect yourself, and when leaving just seems like an unattainable long lived dream, all you need is one true person in your life.

To every woman living in fear, have strength and remember as powerless as you might feel, all the real power is in your hands. Please to all who have, and are suffering,  don't give up for a single moment.
